A 74ª edição do Tony Awards vem aí e a cerimônia retorna a ter uma transmissão. No Brasil, o canal Film&Arts exibe com exclusividade a edição no dia 26 de setembro.
A premiação que prestigia os melhores da temporada 2019-2020, será dividida em duas partes exibidas, diretamente do Winter Garden Theater da Broadway, e conta com apresentação de Audra McDonald.
No dia 26, às 20h, o canal exibe a entrega dos prêmios Tony, e na sequência, às 22h, a celebração Broadway is Back!, concerto especial que trará a emoção da Broadway ao público por meio de uma apresentação ao vivo com astros do teatro musical que se reúnem no palco para apresentar clássicos, celebrando a alegria e a magia do teatro ao vivo.
O evento marcará a reabertura da Broadway com apresentações especiais dos três candidatos ao prêmio de melhor musical, – Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge! e Tina: The Tina Turner Musical – seguido da apresentação dos prêmios ao vivo das categorias de melhor peça, melhor relançamento de peça e melhor musical, e será apresentado por Leslie Odom Jr.
